The art of coating cotton textiles with rubber for use in protective wear has been developing for more than a century. Today, with the development of both synthetic polymers and fabrics, the modern coating industry is as varied as it is complex. The technical advances in materials and production methods enable Cannon Tri-laminates Ltd to produce coated products which are resistant to chemical warfare agents, corrosive chemicals, the effects of high and low temperatures, atmospheric gases, fire, petrol, oil, domestic and other industrial materials.
Cannon Tri-laminates Ltd is a rubber coated fabrics manufacturer in the UK and produces a wide range of rubber coated textiles using the “knife over roller” technique to a maximum textile spreading width of 300cm. In addition to natural rubber, the Company has considerable expertise in the use of all types of synthetic rubbers. It produces coated fabrics to meet the requirements of government offices, public and private companies.
The Company and its workforce pride themselves on manufacturing high quality rubber polymer coated materials, on state of the art machinery, in what is now a specialised market. Many of the big players in the rubber industry have been broken up and sold off over the years and those few that remained were working with antiquated belt – driven spreading machines from before the war!
